These are highlight pictures of the 500 I took during my 10 day adventure to Israel. A trip made possible thanks to Taglit Birthright Israel, an organization which provides free trips to Jews between the ages 18 and 26. I chose Young Judaea as my trip organizer and they were amazing. I'm sure that no matter which trip you choose, you will have a great time. As cliche as it sounds I have made friends that we last a life time, and memories that have changed who I am as a person. If you have any questions about YJ or Birthright feel free to contact me or visit www.birthrightisrael.com.
Highlights (for me):
-Hatzbani river rafting
-Golan Heights
-Learning about Kabalah in Tzfat
-Bike ride through bird/nature preserve
-Tel Aviv shopping/history at Independence Hall
-Jaffa/flea market
-Ben Yahuda Street
-Bedouin Tents
-Mount Masada
This is the reason why I want to return to Israel and volunteer for 5 months. The 10 days I spent on Birthright were so powerful along with having family living in Israel is why I want to volunteer and give back to this beautiful country. I hope to extend it beyond 5 months. Its hard to describe how much the 10 days has had such an effect on me. The song Jerusalem reminds me of our bus coming into Jerusalem descending the mountains into Jerusalem quite emotional and uplifting.
