If you want a spot in that area you need to arive around 10am. Each hour past 10am you'll be about a block back.. by 6pm you're 15 blocks back. And thats a new york block, not a standard city block. If you can't get there by 3-4pm its not worth going, you can't hear the music , can't see much and you'll be over crowded and can't even turn left or right. I've been twice.

I got there at..... 9:00 PM! used any excuse in the book to convince the policemen to let me in. I realize that I was extremely lucky.
