The Litronix DL1414T intelligent LED display combines a seven-bit ASCII decoder, character generator, and four-digit alphanumeric display in a single package. The display is made up of four 17-segment dies mounted under plastic magnifiers, with the control circuitry mounted to the underside of the display and covered with an epoxy coating. The display has its own memory registers, and will remember character data without processor intervention. The display was filmed at 30x magnification.

  • That isn't a LED display, this thing is a tube displaying segments in NEON.

  • Incorrect. It is exactly what I say it is in the video description - a Litronix DL1414T alphanumeric LED display, filmed at 30x magnification.

  • so how small is that thing in cm??

  • Digit height on the DL1414T is slightly less than 3mm. The entire four-digit display measures 17m wide by 20mm high, and is about 5mm thick not including the leads.
