yes it is. deer instinct is to run away as fast as possible (fawns are born with this), which for them, is really fast- much faster than a domestic dog. it's ears are not upright but relaxed, and it looks away from the dog many times- when a predator approaches, they keep keen sight until they run.

That dogs is super fast, it looks like a cross between a Lab and a dachshund, very stumpy legs.
