I plan on using just one LED for the beginning. So now need to remove the IR filter in the web camera and test it with my led? IL-2 requires ony one LED.

You can test your camera, pointing your TV remote control into cam, if your cam "see" the remote control led, you dont need to remove the filter.

Okay, everything works just beautiful without any filter removals. Just a last problem. How to increase the FPS?! I have only 2. And everywhere I read about, 30 is the limit. Well 30 would be just wonderful. How do I get 30?

There are many configs to change and test, but i think could be your cam setting auto-exposure it should be off.

it was the first version 2.2, now its a updated 2.2 version available in FT website that works fine without any issues in FSX.

Freetrack is nice if you are very good at DIY, but not as reliable as TrackIR i must say

Now if you really want to take flight simulation to the next level, then consider voice control.

If you happen to own a headset with microphone, Try something called "Multi Crew Experience" (for which there is a fully working demo) and you will see what I am talking about. Suddenly flying the heavies becomes much more fun.

No more fiddling with keyboard and mouse either.
