@artguy53 That's missing the point, though...why should it have normal earthlike bat wings? The "spider legs" of the rat bat spider were basically the fingerbones of a bat's wings, evolved into spider legs. Way more creative and cool than just a flying bat that also had bug limbs.

Great music from the 'Outer Limits', "Lost In Space' and the old Universal classic, 'Creature from the Black Lagoon!' There are some other musical pieces in here, however, that I haven't heard before! The artwork is incredible! I love the rat bat spider monster! Just like the original! Even those creepy aliens are creeping around... cool video!!!

I would like to have a plush toy of that Bat Spider thingy.

A classic Sci Fi monster. This really does it justice, a quality piece of illustration. You can get a resin kit of this creature. It gave me a fright when I was a kid. and for its time it was one of the better B Movie creatures.
I remember reading in Melchior book that he did plan to have a giant flying reptile in the original movie but because of budget limitations he couldnt add a fourth monster.
But I like your idea of a flying Ratbatspider even better.

It just seemed to make sense to me that if it were called the Ratbatspider monster it should be able to fly.
