Even if they hired a consulting firm, the VP has the final say in these matters.

It's a bad idea to incorporate different colours to represent the various faculties. This is a University, not a fashion house. You can't tell the faculties apart when printed in B&W or even grayscale (for colourblindess, letterheads, newspapers, etc.).

They spent $85,000 on that logo, makes students like us that go there feel as if our school is less credible, and more like a joke... glad they decided against it!
