  • Well, as the pilots always say, "Any landing you walk away from is a good one."

  • I thought it was a RC plane

  • @jobeone That's more or less what I wrote isn't it? Problem is that in a high stress situation such as this (and, thank God, the closest I've come is a mag failure on climbout) is that your reaction has to be automatic - particularly when you see things going pear shaped as I think happened to this guy at the end.

  • @viscount812 You can't "stretch a glide" by flying slower than best glide speed. He would have been better to pitch down to clear the trees and execute a more controlled landing into the lake.

  • what the fuck is so dangerous about fuel in water if there is no fire around?

  • As a pilot, I can say that was a very good forced landing on water. He kept it just above stall speed until he was mere feet above the water, very well done.

  • Did you get that? Yessssss.... fapafapafapa...

  • XD that fuckin guys goin down, all calm lol

  • Shout out to all of the armchair pilots critiquing something they obviously know very little about.

  • Did U get a Fish???

  • Fatal and incredibly naïve pilot error. I don´t know how many flying hours did the pilot have, but if he was experienced enough he was supposed to know that in case of engine malfunction the last thing you must think of is trying to "slow down" the fall by keeping the nose up, as he did here. Consequence: the plane loses speed (and height) rapidly and falls stone-like. Why didn´t he nose down a bit to gain a bit of speed, get easier controls and try a smoother ditch? What plane is that, anyway?
