Viewers asked for a demo showing LEGO perpetual motion running for 20+ minutes. Here is my toy demonstrating self starting and running at 5x video speed while Bill Nye (the science guy) teaches about magnetism.

  • Starcross42, I have a feeling you are moking the search for free energy movement, and if that is the goal, than its pitty.

Offcourse there is no such thing as perpetual machine, and you have a battery hidden some where in there.

But a guy like you, educated and all, know there is more between heaven and earth, and probably most of it is yet to be discovered. Ouer physick laws made so far (note "made"), has served the world well, but they are not perfect, and definitely not complete.

  • Kurtnorway. Thanks for the insight. No, it was not an attempt to mock people searching for free energy. It was however designed to pose more questions than it answered. Yes, they ALL have a hidden battery somewhere, but the task is to figure out HOW it gets that energy to the spinning wheel. You must understand the things that you do know before you can recognize the truely inventive. No insult intended with the video, just a magic trick where you are left to guess how it is done.

  • I posted a possible circuit diagramm at the end of this thread at my forum.

    Go to:

(remove the spaces in the URL above and substitute the DOT with a real "." dot.

Please post some comments to my circuit in my forum.

    Many thanks.

    Regards, Stefan.

  • Stefan, Excellent insight. I have signed up to be part of your forum however I have not yet been 'invited'.

I am preparing to post the next video in the LEGO series. It will lead to even more investigation. You need to remember that I am an educator and, at least to me, thought is more important than answers. When a student asks me 'how something works' I seldom just give an answer but rather encourage them to think deeper. Same here.

  • Put a live streaming video on ustream, it's free and I already see you have a camera, so you have no excuse not too, like this you can prove if your device really works or not

  • I will get my trained monkey on that right away.

  • @kurtnorway Zero point energy has already been theorized, that's all we need to focus out attention on. ;)

  • Make it spin faster by placing the magnets all around it instead of just two of it.

  • My guess is that the motor is wired, that a battery or capacitor is precharged and the "self start" is the dissipation of the previously stored charge. Since the bearing is efficient and no work is drawn from the system depending on the size of the battery the system could run for hours.

As far as insulting the author, that's anti-scientific. He has presented a very good example and wake-up-call for any OU enthusiast. Most of whom are pretty anti-scientific.

  • maibe the coils are around a battery? :)

  • I think ''magic trick'' is the wrong word. Dishonest is perhaps too severe, but much closer to the truth.

  • hmmm... i don't want to sound like a smartass but i noticed that at the begining of the video 1:00 the wheel rotates a lot faster than the end of the video 5:00 meaning that the machine is decelerating (and i suppose that at some point it will stop). could you give us more details about the magnets that you used?

  • Robbyandrasch. Is that what Starcross42 is trying to teach us, you think ?,

Yes, I have seen the THANECHEINS videos, it is such a revelutionary discoveries that I am trying to replicate it. The plan is to combine it with the newman or keppe motor, which is suposed to use wery litle energy to produce torqe, I have actually made a keppe motor, and it is producing torqe with less energy than conventional em-motors.

By the way, sorry Starcross42 if I jumped to conclusions whith your intentions.
