First Lady of The United States Michelle Obama and Hillary Clinton Announce the International Women of Courage Awards Source: U.S. Department of State At a ceremony in the Benjamin Franklin Room of the U.S. Department of State, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton announced this year's recipients of the Secretary of State's Award for International Women of Courage. First Lady Michelle Obama was also present at the ceremony and gave a speech during which she said that "the difference between a struggling family and a healthy family is often the presence of a strong woman."
