@RyanCol0511 Quick tip, never tell anyone you're working on a major project. It ends up subconsciously making it feel like more work and causes your motivation and interest to be drained crazy fast. Even if it doesn't feel like it at first, it actually does happen. Best way I found to counter it was to just work on it for yourself(and with your friend) at first and not for everyone else.

@IlluminationStudios If you installed the latest version of XNA you are most likely going to need Visual C# Express 2010
