  • TAKE THE WEEK OFF!!!!!!

    lol

  • @fuzzybear718 - fair enough, you're probably right. I should just appreciate drum solos getting TV air time! That's pretty remarkable. I actually had Buddy's disco album and thought he played it quite well! Of course, what drummer has made his name in disco....not exactly a genre that is synonymous with unlimited creativity and showcase drumming. I'll leave Buddy on his pedestal, but I'll certainly enjoy others.

  • @mobrules29 You gotta get that mindset out man. If you wish everytime it wouldve been Buddy ur never gonna be satisfied with any drummer. Buddy Rich was on a whole other level and no drummer will ever be able to match him. Just appreciate what every drummer has to bring. Oh also im pretty sure Buddy would not be able to play this solo. He tried doing Disco which is pretty damn easy, but he was so used to jazz he couldnt do it. Dont put Buddy on such a high pedestal. You'll never be satisfied.

  • And THIS is why Anton played the drums in place of Peter Criss!

  • @Fartnocker57 Or Animal from the Muppets?

  • Nothing against Anton Fig or any of the drummers for that matter, but every time I see a drum solo I wish it was Buddy Rich. It's the difference between visiting the local minister around the corner and having an audience with the Pope.

  • probably the first time Anton has been able to do a solo on all the years hes been on DL

  • Anton is an awesome drummer!

  • @regaltip8A thanks for the reply man. i think chad is an outstanding player, must have been fantastic to study with him. just out of interest were there any specific books you worked out of? thanks and all the best

  • @MrHydrogoon Not a silly question. It was a privilege to be up close with a real pro. He taught me how to rebound the stick through correct use of Moeller Method and to attain a very fluid and relaxed style.Chad is also extremely disciplined as a person. Definitely no "fart" jokes during lessons. The lessons were intense but I could handle them. They were also not cheap. I was practicing about 4-5 hours a day at the time and it paid off. Mr Fig does not touch Chad.
