I wish somebody had written this sililoquy into a song when I was in school! I would have memorized it quicker!

the way this song is kinda ruins it for me i'd prefer the eeriness and such that the soliloquy had portrayed

i had to reamber this poem for school, and i listened to this song and it helped me soo much!! i reeambered the whole thing and got an A+ !!! =D
The tone and melody does not reflect the eerieness of the soliloquy. The soliloquy is somewhat scary while this song's melody is somewhat happy. How ironic.

Yes. Ironic. In the song is not somebody who's suffering but someone who's telling us something all we know. For example: the dread stops often our determination (not only for suicide). You can think in the "whips and scorns of time" as a tragedy or to take all this as "the soup that we eat everyday". A place where we must deal. Even in a middle of a battle is good not to loose your sense of humor. Maybe we can imagine and old Hamlet (not dead!) remembering his old thoughts...singing!

Maybe only the fear "of something after dead" stop our suicide. It's one of the possible interpretations of the monologue.

I like this, very catchy and calm. It feels lengthy but it's a great song.
