  • @Toastmaster84 YES this is the Mighty Diamonds Live at Reggae Sunsplash 1982 but unfortunately i do not have the entire concert. just a couple performances. i've only been able to find the audio of the entire concert. i'll keep looking though.

  • I love Jamaica.

    I love Jamaican culture.

    I love Jamaican people.

  • @rrreckless this song was off the Changes album released in 1982. a short time after musical youth released a "clean" version of this song called pass the dutchie. ironically enough decades later the word dutchie became a slang for smoking a blunt lol.

  • This is the real jamaica music....boy u better sing the hell of that shit

  • @PictishPrince Bob wasn't murdered, he died from cancer...possibly, although i`m not good at reading people's minds, could it be that you might be referring to the great Peter Tosh who was murdered, and according to wiki, it was 1987, and perhaps ironically, Sept 11!! I rather ghoulishly looked at the amount of reggae singers who were murdered, and tragically there are heaps! -Daz in Oz.

  • In wiki, Pass the Dutchie by Musical Youth was "based on this song"...er more precisely I think they ripped the song off! and changed lyrics to bring up the subject of poverty rather than about smoking pot. -daz in oz

  • bob marley!

  • A dutchie is a cooking pot and the song was redone by little kids "the musical youth" so they cant make it about weed

So stop hating this song is about weed

  • who's the drummer??

    amazing vid

  • @PictishPrince He wasn't murdered...

  • @CalPal101 No it is not, Mr. Marley was deceased by this time as he was murdered in 1981 and this appears to be from 1982. Also this is a group called 'Mighty Diamonds', not 'The Wailers', and the young man singing the majority of this is Tabby (Donald Shaw) if I am not mistaken.

  • That drumming was so tite.
