Nike x LIVESTRONG - What is a Chalkbot (English Version)

Developed in partnership with DeepLocal and StandardRobot, the Chalkbot in appearance is similar to an ink jet printer, except at a much larger scale. The trailer mounted device is fully self-contained and pneumatically spray out either messages or graphics. The device will debut at the 2nd Stage of 2009 Tour de France on July 5th.

@playstation1980 Sorry for the answer delay... First time I saw this idea was in the "Bikes against Bush" YT video, almost 5 years ago. I've seen another nice one recently, spraying rainbow on walls Robo-Rainbow YT or Vimeo

Oh, and by the way, the Nike Chalkbot got a Grand Prix @Cannes advertising festival. Putting aside the machine thief (!), the whole strategy is brilliant (geolocated messages & pictures, TV helicopter "ambushing", twitter platform etc.)
