The museum looks at Confederate Lt. General Turner Ashby, his life and service, his death outside of Harrisonburg, VA, and his subsequent memorialization. Artifacts featured in this podcast include postmortem photographs, the flag of the 7th Virginia Cavalry, Company A, Mountain Rangers, Ashbys personal effects, items made from relics pulled from Ashbys horse, Gallant Gray, and various mourning items.

Thank you for this. Turner Ashby has always intrigued me, as I'm a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, Louisiana Division. His post-mortem image is unforgettable, betraying the elan and valiance that he displayed in life. It was a pleasure to see some of the artifacts and mementoes associated with him. May he truly rest in peace, dear soldier.
