Doctor Who and the Web of Fear is, like many of Terrance Dicks's novelisations, a fairly basic but accurate adaptation of what happened on screen - which is exactly what many fans needed before the days of VHS, DVD and CD releases of old stories.

I have this dream that all of the lost Hartnell and Troughton stories will turn up one day mysteriously, a bit like Tomb of the Cybermen turned up in Hong Kong. HONG BLOODY KONG! You'll probably find The Web of Fear in Mongolia or Kazakhstan or somewhere random. But wherever The Web of Fear will be found I swear to God I'll go there on holiday.

Actually most of the stories were destroyed, but hopefully this story will turn up!! I really want to see it!
