@themachinist1000 I also uploaded the orginal version by the way and I do think that Roberta's version is now the version that now defines the song the way that everyone else now covers it, not Peggy's, despite whether Peggy's and Ewan's version is better or not. If you follow me.

@amaxx1 The song was written in 1957 by British folksinger Ewan MacColl.. a lot of people on here seem to think it's written by Ms. Flack! As to the uploader, I've always disagreed that anyone can record a 'defining' version of a folk song. The person who writes it is 'definitive', as is everyone who sings it faithfully.
