  • I have a quick question for you. I noticed your bow has black hair, and ive been thinking about switching to black hair, but how does it preform compared to white Mongolian hair.

  • Thanks for your comment fireblade68, No, I use Dark-Brown hair, (Maestro Stefano Sciascia loves black hair for his wonderful bow.)

White Mongolian hair is always thin, and delicate.. It's nice for thin gauge strings like violin I think, So I use not fine but hard Brown Hair.. with POPS' rosin.

  • Wow!

    I wish I could play like this...but I'll practice;);););)

  • Thank you very much ReginaU, It's just playing around with contrabass and then it sounds ! Thank you very much !!!

  • Bravo!! I'm still trying to learn this song on the violin. I have just been playing for 2 years.

  • Thank you very much for your kindly message bbuntin, Let's play music !!!

  • Im in the 8th grade and I have to play this song for my solo I was wondering if you had any pointers?

  • @Muenchies I tend to change my positistion a little back(?) when i play the E string from hitting my leg

  • Are you playing form the original piano score or is there an edition for bass and piano?

    Nice playing!

  • i never saw a c extension until 4 years into playing

  • Then you need to get out and see more bassists and basses...

  • ya i play. 5 years already.. but this is the first time i saw extension. tts y i got curious

  • Haha its and fingerboard extension and yes it is made on purpose... Do you play the bass?

  • hmm i realised ur fingerboard looks weird at the end.. isit broken or u purposely make one

  • You're amazing, just amazing.

  • A couple of questions:

1 - How do you keep the bow from hitting your leg when you play on the "E" string?

2 - Since it's a 6/4 size bass, is that longer than a "full scale?"
