A profound and interesting video! Reincarnation is an attractive belief, but until one can define the soul, or what it is that does come back, it is virtually impossible to discuss reincarnation intelligently.

there have been many studies about this topic.in the 70s life after life was discussed

by charles moody and elizabeth kuebler ross.readers' digest also had a documented instance where a woman was clinically dead and observed the surgeons from above them.a good book to start would be a view from the top by ruth noam.

@rabbichaimmoshe, I've read those interesting authors. There are also many accounts of similar experiences of life after death on Youtube. A ltttle disconcertingly, you often find that a person's religion may affect their experience (but not always). In the USA, where Christian indoctrination is so prevalent, you find that many people who briefly died see a being they clearly identify as Jesus. Unfortunately, the USA (or U.S. research) dominates this type of study.

the reason for that image is that when you have such experiences you see what you expect since the observed is beyond your imagination. that is why the Deity appears as one's teacher in the vision etc...

Conciousness is an emergent property of the brain.

Intellect is operation of your brain - Nothing to do with Souls or other supernatural mumbo-jumbo.

When you are dead, your brain no-longer functions.

You are no longer Conscious. 'You' are no more.

You are dead. That is it.

@Uberlaser you my friend think you know all things because you read a book or passed a course. consciousness is divided into many levels but wisdom is the soulk and it continues after death. there have been remarkable studies that conclude that. people who were brain dead in surgery were able occassionally to describe the surgery of implanting the heart or similar operations where technically the person was dead-no heartbeat and no eeg.

That is a plausible explanation; alternatively, the apparently dead person's imagination is still active. Perhaps, to be able to perceive the Deity in fullness (or without taint), one has to relinquish idolatry. Impurity is an aspect of idolatry, so that may be a barrier that impairs perception. We need to watch who our guides here shall be.
