  • May I ask where you found this Blue CN locomotive. I have looked EVERYWHERE and no one seems to have them (or ever heard of them for that matter)

  • @starguard I would call Mainline Hobby they might have one left in stock. They are in Pennsylvania. You can also try Chuck's Depot in Marion, Illinois or Hiawatha Hobbies.

  • some of the manufacturers make better motors which allow better slow speed performance

  • Any chance you want to sell 1 of them blue CN engines ?

  • hahaha not going to happen I love them too much

  • The CN Blue CN Engines are nice!.

  • @dmncau The locomotives I have seen in your videos are very nice, especially the IC SD70 and the CN C40-8W, however running them on or close to carpet is not good for them. They need to be run on some sort of layout because if cat/dog hair or human hair or anything else small enough gets up in the gears, by the motor, or any other vital part of the locomotive. Not telling you what to do but the locomotives will not perform as well and could even damage the motor or gears, just friendly advice.

  • @DIASTU2 NYC 2-8-0 sounds like a nice locomotive. Who was the manufacturer of it?

  • @DIASTU2 That sucks, sounds like a real nice locomotive you had. BTW, this is 1fordman2011, just changed my youtube thing. I never lost any engines but from maintaining mine and other peoples, you would be amazed on how much pet and human hair, fuzz, etc. I would pull out of the gears, motor, etc. before I could perform routine maintenance on the locomotives. Layouts don't completely prevent hair or fuzz from getting in your engines, but it cuts down on it quite a bit.

  • How do you get your engines to run so smoothly without stalling? If I try to run mines that slow, they would stop about every 20 feet or so

  • Very cool.

  • @1fordman2011

i completely agree lost a nyc 2-8-0 heavy to dog hair

  • @SD60mike Yes. These Dash 8s are blue because all 12 of the Dash 8-40CW were leased to LMS when Conrail leased 60 Dash 8s
