This is a piano & orchestral piece in the style of a cinematic score. The video shows only the piano track being recorded. 10 other orchestral tracks were recorded seperately.

It's played on a Yamaha S90ES using VSTs for all sound sources. The VSTs are: Synthogy Ivory (German D) for piano, Vienna Instruments Appassionata Strings (Cello, Viola and Violin ensembes), Miroslav Philharmonik (flute, clarinet, oboe, trobone and trumpet ensembles), FXpansion BFD2 Big Orchestral & Marching Band (tubular chimes, timpani).

  • hey cafo, that's just awesome. unbelievable what's possible with perfectly sampled instruments today.

I ordered a Roland RD-700 GX and the Ivory Grands yesterday and I'm very excited. and while I'm waiting I watchi all the Ivory videos I can find on youtube! :)

  • Thanks for listening! I think you'll love Ivory!

  • You are amazing! Thanks for every video you've shared! And I must say this one's my favourite! Please keep playing music!

  • Thank you!

  • i must ask... why do you prefer the Sonar DAW over the others? Have you tried any other ones? Are you using the studio, or are you using the producer version?

    Thank you in advance.

  • I currently use Sonar 8 Producer. I've used Sonar/Cakewalk since the early-nineties -- when it was the best solution available to amateurs. Back then it was only a sequencer and had very limited (if any) audio capabilities. It has grown with the industry and I've grown with it. I know the interface like the back of my hand. The reason I stay with it is that it does everything I need -- and it does it extremely well. I love Sonar and highly recommend it!

  • Thank God there are still real musicians in the world who can make you feel something.

  • it is amazing the images that comes to mind as i listen to this beautiful music.

if someone in hollywood does not pick this up as a dark romantic score.....well let's say they would lose out big time, as would the rest of the world.

    Another Great Piece cafo1972....wow!

  • @msmaffe33 No need to spam on other people's videos. Try again next time.

  • How did you get the Ivory German D to sound like that I've tried everything and I can't get it sounding like that.

  • Wow, this is fantastic! Love the chromaticism :)

  • Full orchestral pieces, action adventure, and relaxing at my channel. msmaffe33

I'm hoping to become a film composer someday, I need some honest feedback (I'm 15 years old).

  • This is good for Final Fantasy. I like it and I encourage you to continue your work...
