@Turkeysucks2010 A true epmire in the classical sense no. That is why some describe it as a virtual empire, an economic empire or as an empire without colonies. As for "rescuing" countries. That's not really accurate. If you look at it what countries we've gone into since the end of WW II there are other factors at play. Access to oil and other resources, etc. Propping up tyrannically regimes if they tow the line and give us favorable trade conditions or access to oil. *con

@Turkeysucks2010 There are plenty of countries in the world who have horrible tyrannical leaders or horrible things happen but we don't go into all of those countries - it's only the ones that have some thing we want. Typically energy resources.

We are not and have never been an empire, but we we are a soon to be, yet another failed representative republic. As Christians we spent far too much time helping others included generous welfare benefits for our poor and the worlds poor as well as rescuing too many countries who allowed their own countries to become tyrannical.
