I agree with Bron, I am not much of a fan of Repin, I went to a concert of his in the Southbank in London and I found him very cold and rather pretentious...maybe it was one of his bad days as well but still...
Vengerov is much more of a giving, open personality which is why I think he evidently became more successful when he was touring!
