A Human being's existence could be sustained for it's entire life in a 10x10 gloss white room, with bread and water delivered regularly being the only thing 'necessary'. But it's the unnecessary things that make life enjoyable. And besides, planes are fun, the glory of pushing that throttle and pointing to the sky, the sensation of lift, the roar of jets and the smell of JetA are some of life's glorious pleasures.
