  • Not too bad. it's in the wrong key though (not to be a smartass, just letting you know ^^ )

I have made a complete cover, feel free to base the rest of the song of of it if you like. It's prolly not ENTIRELY correct, 'cause did it by ear using live versions of the song.

    Cheers!

    thanks mate!

I just checked out your cover and I have to say it`s outstanding. I`ll definitely learn the rest of the song based on your cover, so thx again.

  • Nice job dude! Did you just tune your 5-string to GDAE?

  • @placebo398

    yep, exactly

  • @Minkopone can you tune a regualr 5 string banjo to GDAE like yours? Im sorry im new to banjos and looking forward to buy one. Could you tell me if i can play flogging molly, dropkick murphys, pogues and all that sort of music on a 5 string banjo? would be cool cause the only banjos available here are 5 strings thanks!

  • @4evergreendayfan

sorry for answering that late. I am using a 5 string western banjo myself, since I bought that one when i was in the states a couple of years ago and this is the only one i have. I love playing traditional Irish tunes, so I just tuned it to GDAE and it worked out obviously.... ;-) . Hope I was able to help you
