  • I'm glad to see that people try to kill/harm the Dalai Lama the one that mirrors for them

their fears! With gratitude I watch them lash out in delusion. I'm reminded of the

larger number of fingers pointing at ourselves when we point at others. With

thanks I thank the energy of the universe for this opportunity.

To the Dalai Lama thank you for your work, simplicity, and compassion.

  • Who cares if it is accepted by the "stars"??!!

  • I think all this talk of politics has got nothing to do with the talk here. We are not talking about a relevance of an organization or even about Tibetan independence. Although Tibet is lost, Buddhism is thriving around the world. May it flourish even more before the teachings or its lineage disappear completely as predicted by Lord Buddha.

  • Delusions are unatural but we still think they are a part of ourselves, in the dark we cannot see things as they are

  • True, he is beyond the pettiness of human nature, he would have compassion for those who display such traits.

  • I don't think His Holiness the Dalai Lama cannot be brought down or embarrassed by others no matter what is being said or done to him.

  • I do practice at an NKT center. But I do respect the Dalai Lama and his teachings. The teachings of the NKT and of the Dalai Lama have the same lineage origins, Atisha and Je Tsongkapa, except that the Dalai Lama is further well versed in all other traditions of Tibetan Buddhism and that is why he is considered the greatest scholar of Tibetan Buddhism. This is why he had to drop Dorje Shugden because historically there was some conflict with other schools who felt Dorje Shugden threatened them.

  • And his teachers never gave up. Maybe the Dalai Lama is such a great Scholar that it gets in the way of the compassion he should have towards those who wish to continue the worship. Suppose that the Jehova Witnesses were to become the dominant force in Christianity. Then they would have enough prestige and power to ask others to stop practicing Christmas. That is the same thing that is happening with the Dalai Lama asking monasteries to stop practicing Dorje Shugden practice.

  • That is so silly of the Communist Party of China to support the NKT or the WSS. China owns TIbet as easily as the US owns the territories that once were Mexican and Indian lands. Tibetans are now in the same situation as the Native Americans were in when the US was expanding west to conquer all that it has now from the east coast to the west. The WSS is simply about allowing a particular worship to continue, a worship that even the Dalai Lama and his teachers once had.

  • No way. The NKT and WSS cannot tarnish and don't care to tarnish the Dalai Lama. And China population compared to Tibet is a ratio of several thousands to 1. And now there are more Chinese in Tibet than there are Tibetans, so the Chinese don't have to worry about the Dalai Lama, and the US won't go into Tibet to liberate them, like they did for Iraq, because there is no interest (oil) in Tibet. The NKT simply has a difference in a dogma concerning a diety/Buddha/Dharma Protector.
