a little tribute to Chick Hearn, the voice of the Lakers. Chick was a great teacher and mentor to thousands of basketball fans, he knew the game from every angle, he coached the team from behind the mic, and he didn't hesitate to criticize the Lakers when they needed it. One classy guy, we know he's calling Lakers games in heaven.

I'm a Celtics fan and I enjoyed their broadcaster Johnny Most, but L.A. has been blessed by Chick Hearn and Vin Scully.

He called every game the way it really was; if the Lakers sucked then he was the first to say so. When Chick died a big part of the entire Laker organization died right along with him. It is NEVER going to be the same without Chickie Baby. It is in the refrigerator, the lights are out....
