Hah, this was about insurance companies, not about socialism. Wanting rational delivery of healthcare is not socialism. He was upset about the lack of modernization and coordination, the fragmented continuity of care and the secrecy behind medical care costs. He doesn't want to fly to oregon for free, he just wants to fly to oregon in a reasonable amount of time in an expeditious manner with a clear price tag.

This is so overly misleading: airlines do not book flights for other airlines - that is called free entrerprise. Further, Obamacare is not a plan, but a requirement to carry private insurance, with a purchasing pool. The deails of the whole system are far from being finalized.

Imposing government PROVISION of things makes the situation far worse. Yes, Government scams just deny your claim and you can't do anything about it because govdernment simply specifies it cannot be sued. Were you not the little toady you are, you might be aware that Medicare and Medicade (both, incidentally, already certain to fail) deny claims at three times the rate of private insurance.

I am glad you brought up the lawyers Government forces the insurance companies to hire. You probably never heard of them, but there's Regulatory Compliance Costs. Go learn.

Uhm. You clearly haven't looked at the finances either, because government healthcare has been shown to more efficient than private insurance in every respect (unless they're forced to go through private insurance of course). That's even true in the US.

Medicare and Medicaid have lower overhead costs because they don't spend massive amounts of money on lawyers to fuck you over or lobbying politicians. Look it up, yo.

Since you've never looked at ANYTHING in finances of government programs, the MOST efficient government program in the last 30 years spent 2/3 of the money on overhead. Socialized medicine is in the area of 5/6 overhead.

What are you talking about? The British like their healthcare system about 1000 times better than Americans like their healthcare system. Are you really suggesting that British Healthcare is worse than American Healthcare (or even more efficient)? Because there's plenty of data showing that government is more efficient and better at providing healthcare.

Look at countries where healthcare IS run by the government. It has issues, but they all run far more efficient and solid than our system. FFS Britain celebrated their healthcare system at the Olympics.
