The speaker mentioned that science teachers onlly spend a week on teaching evolution to students. I'm Canadian, and in 7th grade we spent half the school year on evolution, paleontology, origins, etc. Is it really so different in the US? I learned more about evolution in the 7th grade than most of the yahoos I've seen on youtube. And this was in 1973.

There is NO evidence whatsoever that race or gender has anything whatsoever to do with intelligence. The male and female brain are different in some respects, but neither is more intelligent than the other. And there have been geniuses and morons in every race in the world.

I love how the people trying to push god into schools have to run from him. Not very effective. LULZ
Growing up I never knew they were such sneaky bastards. I am glad. Children should not have to bear the brunt of their argument. That is out right child abuse.

My High School biology teacher taught evolution for only about a week of the year-long class and she prefaced it with a talk about how it evolution can be compatible with faith.

I think he's right about ID not having the same impact in other countries... the reasons are pretty much clear... Historically, it was the teaching of religion IN schools in the UK, Ireland, France, Italy, Sweden etc. that made them secular nations in the first place.
If you read the bible along side science then science will win every time, hands down...and it will push religion out the door...
So as far as ID supporters go, if they lose, they will lose...and if they win...they will lose!

My biologist teacher in school said "creationism is absolute crap" :) And this is in a Christian school. Haha.
We have more respect for the truth here in Australia.

Thanks for posting this. It was really interesting.

Thanks for uploading these. I'd ask some creationists to watch this, but when I do they usually resort to insults on my person, so I won't waste my time throwming pearls before swine, to use a biblical metaphor.

@S1nwar "No one expects the Spanish inquisition!"
Hernandez: you are completely full of it. You're basically saying that correct ideas shouldn't stand against anti-intellectual nonsense. That we should sit back and allow liars to spread their lies unchallenged. Because that's what your perspective would have us do.
Creationists aren't going to stop trying to pollute science with their false dogma if the rest of us start trying to "play nice". If we don't challenge them, they'll win by default.

He is very clearly on the side of the prosecution. Therefore, saying "our side" is applicable, as court cases are very clearly divided between prosecution and defense. There are perfectly legitimate "sides" in the world, even in a democracy.
