Christian left the Kora Reserve in 1973. He made his new territory along the Tana river, but when the Wakamba herdsmen kept bringing their livestock to his hunting ground, he moved on. George Adamson said in his autobiography, "I used to count the days on which we hadn't seen Christian, but when they reached 97, I gave up recording them in my diary." Because a lion can live from 12 to 15 years in the wild, Adamson believed that Christian ended his days in the Meru National Reserve only a few miles up river.

"Lion Man" Gareth Patterson, author, environmentalist, and the person who continued George Adamson's lion rehabilitation work, revisited Kora in 1998. This is what he found...

@xdragontzix Please go read the book "A Lion Called Christian" or watch either of the two documentaries "A Lion at World's End" or "Christian the Lion". Perhaps you will think differently about the validity of this video after you do. But please show some respect. George (The third man in the video) was the lions' rehabilitator into the wild and he did a spectcular job. George was murdered by poachers in 1989. His autobiography," My Pride and Joy", can tell you more about George and lions.

The original clip was not posted by the two owners, who while they are fine young men are not very tech savey, but by Lisa Williams in 2008 without audio. It has since been strewn about the internet and had various audio tracks added to it.
