Although bashed by the critics, Paul McCartney's 1984 film Give My Regards To Broad Street had it's moments. Here Is one of them. Paul plays bass and is joined by Ringo Starr on drums. Also along for the ride are Linda McCartney on keyboards/backing vocals, Dave Edmunds and Chris Spedding on guitars/backing vocals, and Jody Linscott on bongos/backing vocals. Not Such A Bad Boy, unlike many of the other tunes in the film and soundtrack, was a new song. It was recorded sometime between early November 1982 and early May 1983 and appeared on the movie soundtrack released on October 22, 1984.
That must be Barbara Bach sitting behind Ringo, but who was the chick playing bongos?

I remember when this movie came out in 1984. Its opening weekend there was a full page ad in the local newspaper. A few weeks later, it was being shown on MTV. THAT'S A BAD MOVIE.
If you are looking for a good plot along with good acting then my advice is look elsewhere. How ever, if you're looking for a movie that one of rock's most influential performers offering up quality interpretations of songs that made him famous as well as original material watch this.

@marokokisetter - I think you're right. The lines "I Followed The Leader Into Her Tent, But Nobody Told Me That She Owed Some Rent" makes me think the girl wanted to be paid. Around that time with George they were all dating the strippers at the club they were working. So it could be a little autobiographical.
I'm not sure about the preggie. I think there's at least one illegit running around out there.

@debjorgo - I should have put that "The song's about Paul losing his virginity to a hooker and ending up in jail and then giving up his bad boy ways." And "the video" was shortly after his arrest in Japan. Losing his virginity happened earlier.

this song is pretty cool. never heard it before, as i've never really explored too much of macca's 80s career nor the broadstreet movie. i like them guitars.

The song's about Paul giving up his bad boy ways, losing his virginity to a hooker and ending up in jail.
This was shortly after his arrest in Japan.
"I talked to my lawyer, he went my bail. Won't someone get me out this lousy jail. We're both in agreement, that crime never pays. I should be out in a couple of days."
Great!
He does a duet with Steve Miller on his Flaming Pie album with the same sorta theme, I Used to be Bad But I Don't have to be Bad No More.
