The character relationships and interaction in the movie are superb.

The action is good, but it's hard to see what's happening because of all the camera movement.

The plot is nothing more than a skeleton to justify the re-imagining.

Saw the movie this weekend and whoever says that this is another Nemesis needs sortin out. This was film making genius and has given the star trek franchise exactly what it needed. Its back, and its so much better.

Partially agree there - at least on the action-bit. Though I wouldn't say he ruined all of Star Trek since he only directs the 11th movie of a franchise that consists of over 700 TV-episodes, 10 movies and countless novels, comic books, etc. It's just a small portion and no one is to say that this really is all that bad - maybe they just pick the not-so-good scenes for the trailers. : D
