  • @BleedThemBones In 62 and 68, indeed!

  • Thanks for the great memories! I watched a lot of these races on tv as a kid, good to see these cars and drivers again.

  • wasn't Graham Hill the '68 champion?

  • Great memories. I was there as a 10 year old with my dad over the pits. I got lots of autographs from the drivers in my program, which I still have today. On Friday I went thru the garages and met all the drivers. See if you can do that today! All drivers were nice and signed my program except John Surtees who could not be bothered.

  • @sookster54 The best looking F1 were 78 to 82.

  • I remember Wheelbase!

  • @douglasgorney march 711 was the best :P

  • those high wings were awesome!!!

  • The cars of today with the engine in sight ! Now that would be cool. They don't need to change the rules, they need to change the cars

  • @sookster54 IMO '67 was the last year of pure, beautiful F1 design. '68 saw the introduction of the "weird wings which changed the face of Formula 1 racing," and which metastasized to all kinds of bulbous monstrosities in the years after.

That said, today's F1 cars actually look pretty cool. But the early 70s? Yeccch.
