Prince the Freisian! &Spanish horses: Summer2011

Um, haven't uploaded in a while, I was in Ireland with these guys for 7 weeks doing Game of Thrones.
Zigan had an accident a year ago which left him blind in one eye so he is very looky at everything and I find him hard to keep consistent with his head.
Legolas is a dude, find it hard with him to stop him leaning on me and trying to keep him up is a bit hard.
Played around with the trick saddle, i'd been doing it on the move in ireland more seriously but this was mucking around with the working students :)

As to your using the trick saddle:

You are obviously physically fit enough for trickriding, which of course is extremely challenging for your body, especially the muscles.

But you also must be mentally strong enough, have enough courage to leave the safe saddle seat for all those exercises like "lie on the neck" or "Flying V".

And cantering the elegant "Arabesque" would be sensational!

Did you only practise on Rafael standing - or would you dare doing it walking?

@heinzstoffregen thanks so much!! :)) i've done trick riding at a trot and tiny bit of canter this summer. Out of these horses, Legolas is the only one who actually has ever tried to rear (he and Rafael are trained to). I can't imagine Prince even having the energy to get his feet off the ground!

@BacilaMioCaro i was sitting around behind set holding horses for hours on end or sitting with horses at the lorry while the others were on set.....super exciting haha. we had 9 horses in ireland on the yard so the usual work too :) and prince is such a twat urghpretty but annoying lmao x

That girl Jen is a wonderful rider, sensitive enough to ride every horse that way he wants to be ridden -

thus she adapts beautifully to elegant Legolas (after 2:24), even when he spooks at 3:28 - as well as to majestec Prince.

Completely different styles of riding for different characters of horses.

By the way - were both of them stallions? And: Spanish as well as Frisians are known for the joy for rearing. Did yours do? And how did you feel about that?

Ahh. i love the game of thrones! i went to a riding centre where their horses were used for the series!!! Your so lucky! Class riding btw :)
