the beginning is from the song get of my yard. The e string is normal, but the b string is tuned in e4 and the g string is tuned down to e3. its not that hard to play

I believe that wasn't really sweeping, but his last 3 strings were tuned to at least 1 octave each (G at one octave, B at a higher octave, and high E at the highest octave) making it sound like he is sweeping, at least that what he said he did.

oh yea. most definitly. why wouldnt they. people would probably start protesting if they didnt.

and with sweeping it tends to sound rushed or not as seprate notes, but if u can train ur fingers for string skips, u have so much more controll (as u were saying)
