This isn't a matter of Westlife covering it, it's about the creativity involved. You should earn your way to stardom by writing your own songs, not by covering others and giving the absolute minimum credit behind the scenes. If Westlife is good at writing lyrics, they should do it more often to avoid the reputation they have earned themselves. OH and I just listened to this version and Westlife's side by side, and until :20 left in weslife's version, they are VERY similar. piano, drums, and all.

you do realise with the languauge you're using only people who are exactly like you are going to take you seriously. And they don't take everybodies songs FYI. Have you bothered to listen to more to listen to more than one of there songs? And in the long run does it really even matter? They redid it because they liked the song not because they wanted to steal it. Everybody who's saying the same thing as you on this page is making a bigger deal of it than it actually is.

They did. They changed the end when they made Mark take the higher part. And if you listen really closely there's a slight difference in the creciendos and decrecendos of the instrumentals. Plus when they sing it they truly mean it and that gives the song its own unique touch. Plus do you really think Chris Daughtry was offended when they took the song and redid it? If the writer and singer of the song doesn't make a big deal of it niether should you.
