Thanks...I'm doing a volleyball unit in gym this semester and this is really helpful for it

this has been very helpful. especially the hand formation. I thought you were supposed to interlock your fingers. I hit on the wrists a lot. Doing the overlapping of the hands really help! thanks! : )
NOW you tell me how to bump a volleyball correctly! I hurt myself in P.E. when the volleyball hit the knuckles of my hands because I interlocked my fingers and missed bumping the ball, and I ended up severly hurting my left pinky finger. Also, I hit the big, inflated balls that my class used in P.E. too hard and hurt the bottom of my right forearm. Sports balls and objects don't like me. I got hit in the head before with a basketball, a soccer ball, and even a HOCKEY PUCK. What the heck? >.<

pretty good explanation but he forgot to say to point your thumbs down. it gives you a better platform. Plus always keep your arms firm when passing, it gives you a much less chance to shank the ball. Also, ideally you should move your legs so that ball lands right in the middle of your body. but a lot of times depending on the serve or hit you might need to use your arms to direct the pass better.
