Shoshana Bean - Pretty Funny - Pasek and Paul - DOGFIGHT

The wonderful Shoshana Bean, as Rose, sings "Pretty Funny" from our new musical DOGFIGHT. Performance begins at 0:28.

In June, 2010, Shoshana joined songwriters Benj Pasek and Justin Paul onstage at the Adelaide Cabaret Festival in Australia. Benj and Justin have been commisioned by the Lincoln Center Theatre to create a musical adaptation of the 1991 film DOGFIGHT that starred River Phoenix and Lili Taylor.

Setting: A group of Marines are about to be deployed to Vietnam in 1963. The last night before they ship off, the guys put $50 in a pot to host a date party - and whoever brings the ugliest girl to the party wins the money. Nice, right?

At the party, Rose learns why she was invited and that her magical date was a sham.

Shoshana Bean made her Broadway debut in HAIRSPRAY, followed by a starring role in WICKED as Elphaba (the Wicked Witch of the West.) Her solo album, Superhero, received numerous R&B Awards. She doesn't get nearly enough credit for her acting skills. Her voice is phenomenal, we all know that, but she's a fantastic actress as well.

There are two problems with this performance....one: Shoshana is GORGEOUS so that's not so believable......two: once you hear Shoshana sing any song anytime anybody else sings it, it will just never measure up(big shoes to fill)! Other than that PERFECT!!!
