I know but the main aspect of the helmet is safety as he mentioned before. He just should have stuck with that

Man, what a bunch of wusses. Go out there and wear a regular cap, like every MLB'er up through the early '60's. Didn't hear anyone complaining about facing Bob Feller or Don Newcombe without the super-dork helmet. If y'all didn't hang out with your head in the strike zone, you wouldn;t have to worry about it so much (BTW, betcha Wright goes back to bailin' & wailin' and away from stridin and divin')

There is a video on MLB's website of Cub's pitcher Ryan Dempster wearing the Rawlings S100. It is quite a bit larger than the traditional helmet, but doesn't look that bad. In the video they compare the two. The video also shows Lou Piniella wearing one on the bench. Now that is funny looking!

I'd bet David Wright would be happy to look like a clown in a clown suit with a pet monkey as long as the helmet keeps him from sitting out for two weeks again due to a runaway fast ball.
