Lt. General and Berlin City Commandant, Paul von Hase, before Freisler's "People's Court" on August 8, 1944. Lt. General von Hase (among others) was found guilty and executed later that day at Ploetzensee Prison.
A few of the accused faced their terrifying predicament with such courage and self-control that it is said even Freisler toned down his screaming interjections and tirades and let them speak. History records Von Hase as one of these. His immense courage in taking on the hopeless task of stating his case before the "People's Court" was noted by all concerned. Von Hasse upheld the finest traditions of German conscience.
I appreciate the use of epic music but I greatly dislike how there are no subtitles. Just constructive criticism from one video maker to another. Either way, beautiful video and congrats to you. Thumbs up.
