Muhammad Aliff Ali - Breakaway (ft. Amer Ekram Azmi on keyboard) (2010/2011 PASUM Golden Night)

March 5th 2011. I was performing my own rendition of Kelly Clarkson's "Breakaway" for the 2010/2011 University of Malaya Asasian Golden Night. The theme of the event was "From Classic to Modern". You can call this our graduation function even though we haven't even finished our studies. I was accompanied by the talented Amer Ekram Azmi on the keyboard. The instrumental introduction that he played was an excerpt from Mariah Carey's "Butterfly". It's been such a pleasure collaborating with him throughout the preparation for this performance. And when the night has finally come, we're just so grateful for being able to send out this significant message to our lecturers, tutors and of course, our fellow UM Asasians. It was definitely a "golden" night to remember. Credits to Muhammad Nabilsyafiq Mohd Hamzah for recording this performance. =)
