You can rant like no other! I couldn't agree with you more, this isn't an issue up for debate, it's one of the few black and white issues in our world today. Same-sex marriage should and will eventually be legal everywhere.

Don't get me wrong I have no issue with Religion and it's no better or worse than any other justification for evil acts but it is pretty stupid opposing something purly because of your beliefs.

Perhaps so many people believe that Christianity is about hate because when they look at Christians, that's often what they see. People talking of love - but whose actions don't match their words.

I've got two friends (one has died) but they were a gay couple yet both of them are grandparents....
Ahhh we all love how Religion is used as moral justification for acts that society considers unacceptable.

One of the great dangers posed by religion is this ability to justify any prejudice, any atrocity in the name of holiness. Even if people don't feel comfortable at the start with what they are doing, they can justify it by saying "it's god's will" - and come to terms with accepting that behaviour as righteous. Religion is a potent and toxic drug that has detrimental effects on everyone, even those who don't partake.
