Jesse Jackson's 1988 Presidential Campaign Film

"Audio was removed from this clip by YouTube for Copyright issues relating to the use of Ray Charles' and Jackson Browne's music. The music was an embedded part of the film shown during the convention and was produced by the Jackson Committee for that purpose. The historical nature of this clip calls for fair use of the material and the re-connection of the audio that was muted. Since this is the only record on YouTube of this speech and that moment in history, not showing the contributions of Browne, Charles and of the Jackson Campaign's film producers, is a loss to the public."

So, "tighten your seat belts" for this, the prelude to Jackson's speech to the convention, an important political document that may have opened the door to the presidency of Barack Obama two decades later.

I will never forget when I was in the 5th grade, I saw a book about Jesse Jackson. This one kid looked at it and said "I don't want no black president!" I felt sad about that. I eternalized that and thought that I a black person or a person with brown skin with black ancestory could never ever become president. Boy, was my childhood dream fulfilled on November 4, 2008.

Blacks use the word nigga in a different form. You already know this though. The word anti semetic comes from Wilhelm Marr, who used this as a propaganda term to unite Hebrews, who normally would never even unite with each other. There are black Semetic people. Jesse Jackson has been a great example of anti-semitism in the Democratic party. He's always been a disgrace to Martin Luther King Jr., the man whose cause he inherited.
