  • boughtthe record easter weekend at a antique store for my 18th bday glad you posted this so i can listen at school or grandmas thanks

  • Wow! It is refreshing to know young adults have a passion for original country music. Although there has been murder on music row (George Strait's CD)there is hope that this music will be kept alive. Thank you. BTW, Don and Dottie were both first class in all respects.

  • @flashbell My 18 year old son is big into classic country music. He's collected over 500 autographs of folks like Ferlin Husky, Leona Williams, Norma Jean, Jean Shepard, Bill Anderson, Porter Wagoner, etc. Many of those he's obtained in person. The big wigs in Nashville don't realize there are many young people out there who love the legends! Josh knows more about Don Gibson and Dottie West than Gaylord ever knew! Love this great song by two great artists!

  • @cmlbob , bravo! good for him. He must bee cool.

  • I remember when you said, With this ring I thee wed, Now you've gone betrayed my trust, Rings of gold have turned to rust, Tears may wash away the sin, Love that's dead can live again, Knowing there's no hope for us

Turns these rings of gold to rust, Plans we've made just yesterday, Sands of time have chipped away, Now they've crumbed into dust

Rings of gold have turned rust, Love before was clean and pure, Now no more can I be sure

You will not betray my trust, Rings...

  • I remember seeing this song being performed on a clip of "That Good Ole Nashville Music" that was shown on "Country Standard Time" on the old Nashville Network. However, instead of Don Gibson, Dottie sang it with her bass player, a young man named Steve Noel. A few years later, that man, using his real name, Steve Warriner, wound up on a pretty good music career of his own.

  • How I love this song! Haven't heard it in two thousand years- thanks for the post!

  • @flashbell Very true, if that's the person that wrote something about Kenny Rogers and Dottie it's complete a complete lie in all my years I never heard anything so ridiculous

  • @SIGNALSTAT , Ok maybe it is true, but why bring up dirt? Write something interesting about these artist. I have written thousand of articles on country music artist and I don't focus on smutt. Smutt and lies is exactly what the liberal press writes about. That is how hussin apollo obama got elected president. The press lied about his cahracter flaky background.

  • Reggie Young on Corel electric sitar? He did "Hooked on a feeling"

  • @cmlbob I sure love the country classics too!

  • I heard this for the first time in 35+ years a little over a year ago.on XM. wow what memories, had to stop to wipe the tears. this was what country and western music was all about. Not this NON artist crap that is a poor excuse for music Period.

  • ....this went to #2 in 1968...!
