Wow- the idle sounds good. Don't take this negatively, but it's the first GL I've heard that didn't sound like a sewing machine. Gave it a little more attitude.

Alleykat exaust sounds better and it gives the goldwing the deep rubling noise of a 6 cylinder engine

sounds amazing coming from a sportbike rider, Like a bmw M3 or 911. Screw the guy that says why make a goldwing louder.

Hearing both mufflers, I guess I prefer the Cobra over the stock. Does the Cobra create less back pressure than the stock? I that a CG Aviation vanity plate beneath your State license plate?

I haven't noticed any real change in performance or gas milage, so I'm not sure. Guess I'd have to put it on a dyno to see for sure. And yes, it is a CG Aviation plate -- I retired in '98 after 26 years, mostly as an H-3 pilot - you?

Hmmm ... not quantitative data, but come to thinkotit, I seem to get slightly less out a full tank of gas that used to.

Yep -- about 40 degress -- in February in New England .... luckily is was sunny ....
