Ms. Geraldine Hobby and Mr. John Fenwick of the DC Injured Workers Committee were protesting the way the disability program in DC has handled their claims. Also, they and other workers have been wrongfully terminated while receiving Worker's Compensation Disability Benefits, which is a violation of the law. Ms. Hobby and Mr. Fenwick are standing up for their rights and the rights of all other workers who lives have been adversely affected by the Worker's Compensation Disability Program in Washington, DC. This program is presently being administered by the Office of Risk Management. This program should be removed and transferred back to the Department of Employment Services and monitored under receivership by the Federal Goverment. The Mayor's Budget Support Act of 2011 Title H, changed to Title G, propose to infringe upon the rights of DC Government Public Sector Employees. Mr. Fenwick's sons spoke about how their lives have changed and how much they have seen their parents suffer. Viewers please don't ignore this families' plight. In today's trying times this family could be yours. You can contact the Disabled Workers Committee at 301-254-1409 or 202-489-8234, or e-mail your responses to iiwiitalkshow@yahoo.com
