Definitiely one of Chekov's best episodes.
Kind of Iironic a RUSSIAN character gets one of his best episodes in an AMERICAN COWBOY episode. :)
Smart, cheeky, dorky, can't win a fistfight to save his life but'll always try to stick up for the lady-
me and every other drama club nerd.
Chekovs of the world UNITE!

I can't believe he didn't say "he's dead Jim" D: I was waiting for it as well :(
-
because he doesn't believe in hitting women
-
It's obvious that Chekov wouldn't really die - he wasn't wearing a red shirt.

@tillytabby22 the accent was authentic, he was using his own parents accent from Russia, Walters Parent's were both RUSSIAN Jewish Immigrants.

This was actually the first episode filmed for the 1968-1969 season, they still thought they 'had a chance for success for a possible 4th season" and acted and tried as such, even within the limits of what they had, this was a classic trek.

@Simpuramafampark Chekov deserved his own spin-off show.

That knock out punch was crazy bad!

One of my fave eps with Chekov (its sad that i cant call any TOS ep a "Chekov ep". he didnt get enought attention in the series.)

He never died, because only the girl was real to him...not the bullets.
Hey, don't blame me..I didn't write it.
