FCPX Advanced Tutorial - Please DONATE: http://bit.ly/ztOz78 - In this Advanced HD Voice tutorial for Apple Final Cut Pro 10 and Event Manager X by Intelligent Assistance, Inc. we take a look at some of the problems we face with FCPX namely the benefit of having access to all our projects / timelines and events all the time no matter what project we are working on. But when we have too many projects and events the list is endless and Final Cut Pro X can become slow and heavy and buggy. Is there a way to reduce or hide projects or events we don't need / want access to? Well Intelligent Assistance have the answer with their great new application Event manger X for only $4.99 we learn how to hide projects and events automatically and automated with a simple click and check of a box. Be sure to get this great app that i review in this video as it will really help your FCPX workflow! available for snow leopard and lion HERE: http://assistedediting.intelligentassistance.com/EventManagerX/

@helfimed Agreed, and what is getting me is the way FCPX insists on loading every project up for me to access the list, even though most of them are closed in a tree list view (out of sight). It should be clever enough to only load what is open in the tree list.

Could you do a tutorial explaining how to save Events and Projects on an external disk, and work from there? The gigas of projetcs and events on my computer are killing me and that would be so useful...

Instead of buying this program you can create a folder (e.g. "Final Cut Events DISABLED") and move into it all events that you don't want to show up in FCPX. Same for projects. It is not about saving $5, but what is the point of installing an app for such a simple task.

Thanks for the video. You don't need a programme to do this if you have to restart. Granted, it'll be a bit quicker, but you can do it in the finder. What I could do with is a programme to change projects without going via the Project Library (my computer took 15mins the other day as it loads all the videos). Or selecting a project to open before you start the application. I really hope Apple redesign this to be quicker.
