I can't watch this song unless Hopkins is performing it. Just doesn't seem right.
-
Look at the Chimeras version of Cathedral City, plus Ponyboy and Johnny, to see what Hopkins was working on before he died...The final song, "long, last, lonely mile" was a sad finale.
-
Sounds like shit. I like the dude's head in front of the camera.

@JennaTulls40 No, the original guitarist, Doug Hopkins, committed suicide back in '93. The lead singer here (Robin Wilson, who has been the long-time lead singer of Gin Blossoms) is still alive and kicking.
-
Sadly, substance abuse claims another victim. Doug Hopkins battled depression and alcohol abuse for a long time....
-
Wait! the guy singing in this video comitted suicide?

I have watch about 40 videos of the GBlossoms tonight, ones having the drummer you see here, and others having a black drummer, and have decided that the black drummer lacks groove, substantially, and this guy has KICK ASS groove.

just wantched them last night in araneta philippines

Great band...great music.. ..nice coverage...thanks for sharing

Thanks to Doug Hopkins, a very talented man, these guys got rich!!!!!!!!!!
That's because he is the original singer. Doug Hopkins (who committed suicide shortly after the release of the original album) wrote the song and played guitar. But Robin Wilson was the lead singer with Jess Valenzuela doing backup and harmony.
